I believe that adding a button to restart the level from the beginning (instead of keeping this only in the menu or as the option to disable checkpoints) could be a good way to encourage casual players to do speedruns.

In my case, on an Xbox controller, I’d like to be able to return to the previous checkpoint by pressing the LB button, and restart the entire level by holding that same button.
