Crashlands 2

How do I get help?

If something isn't working properly then you can report it as a bug. But if you're just looking for guidance or help, turn to the community! Please be kind and try to search for answers before asking others for help.

How do I report a bug?

Head over to the Crashlands 2 Feedbag and follow the instructions to report a bug, request support, or leave feedback.

If you need to provide your save data with your feedback, zip up the save folder at C:\Users\[USERNAME HERE]\AppData\Local\Crashlands2 and upload it with your feedback.

How much will Crashlands 2 cost?

At launch, Crashlands 2 will be $24.99 USD on Steam, with regional pricing recommended by Valve, and $9.99 USD on mobile.

What Platforms will Crashlands 2 be on?

At launch, Crashlands 2 will support Windows and Steam Deck via Steam, iPhone and iPad via the App Store, and Android phones and tablets via Google Play.

Crashlands 2 will have full cross-platform save syncing via Rumpus, so you'll be able to swap between your devices and continue right where you left off.

Is Crashlands 2 Steam Deck compatible?

Yep! We've been testing it throughout development and it works great.

Will Crashlands 2 be on consoles like Switch, Xbox, or PlayStation?

Crashlands 2 is currently not planned for release on consoles.

Will Crashlands 2 support Mac or Linux?

No, we do not plan to support Linux or Mac.

Will Crashlands 2 support Chromebook?

Nope.

Will Crashlands 2 have online or local multiplayer?

Nope! We do hope to make a multiplayer game like Crashlands, someday, but Crashlands 2 is a single player experience.

Does Crashlands 2 have mod support?

Crashlands 2 does not have official mod support, though we're looking into that. It does, however, have exposed data files that you could use for unofficial modding. Just do so at your own risk! There's a high likelihood of things going wrong if you mess with the game files, and we won't be able to help you recover from any issues you run into. Please do not make support requests for modding-related issues!

Do I need to play original Crashlands before I play Crashlands 2?

Nope! Crashlands 2 is a standalone game, so you don't need to play the original Crashlands to enjoy it. Crashlands 2 brings back many of the same characters as the original, and makes references to the events of the first game, so you'll get a lot out of playing both. But you'll be able to enjoy Crashlands 2 without any prior knowledge of the original.

Does Crashlands 2 have a demo?

Crashlands 2 had a demo for Steam Next Fest from May to August 2024. But it's no longer available, and we have no future plans for a demo version of the game.

Which characters from the original will reappear in Crashlands 2?

The original game had a ton of characters we loved, but we aren't bringing all of them back for the sequel. Flux and her trusty sidekick Juicebox are still the stars of the show, and you'll see a bunch of familiar Quadropus, Tendraam, and Brubus faces (with shiny new character models). You'll have to play the game to find out who!

Does Crashlands 2 have building and farming?

Building and farming enthusiasts will be happy to hear that Crashlands 2 has a robust base-building and farming system. We made both of those a lot deeper and more satisfying than in the original. Check out our deep-dive video about Base Building in Crashlands 2 for more details.

Does Crashlands 2 have pets?

Yes! After all, it wouldn't be a Crashlands game without them. Just like in the original, you can find eggs out in the world to hatch for adorable companionship. Check out our video about Pet Design in Crashlands 2 for more details.

Does Crashlands 2 have fishing?

Yes! Like in the original, you'll be able to catch all kinds of weird stuff. Including fish that you can use as weapons and tools (but be careful, they're slippery)! The fishing minigame has changed, though, so be prepared for a brand new experience.

What languages does Crashlands 2 support?

Crashlands 2 is a big game with a ton of text, so we can't support every language we'd like to. We picked the languages we're supporting at launch (English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish (LATAM), French, German, and Russian) based on the top locales from our pre-launch Steam wishlists, and hope to add more languages after launch. If it's not launching in your language, make sure you wishlist it anyway so we know that there's interest!

The list of supported languages may have changed since this was written: for the current list of supported languages, see the Crashlands 2 Steam page.

What control schemes does Crashlands 2 support?

Crashlands 2 is designed to adapt to whatever you're playing it on, including controllers, keyboard & mouse, and touch. Plus, we understand the importance of control customization, so you'll be able to tweak the controls to suit your preferences.

What controllers are supported for Crashlands 2?

Crashlands 2 supports recent, official Xbox controllers on PC. Lots of other controllers will probably work, too, but your mileage may vary. If you're having trouble with a controller on Steam, try playing in Steam Big Picture mode.

What accessibility options does Crashlands 2 have?

We want as many people to be able to play Crashlands 2 as possible, so we've got a variety of accessibility features and options. Explore the game's settings to see them all, but here's a list of highlights:

  • You can choose from a few difficulty options (and change them at any time). The easier modes are great if need to slow things down a bit, but also if that's just how you prefer to play!
  • Emojis next to dialogue to convey emotion and vibes.
  • Customizable colors for the overlay "telegraphs" that show where damage will be dealt.
  • Adjustable field of view.
  • Adjustable font size.
  • Tons of control customizations, including key rebinding, adjustable touch controls, and more.

Will Crashlands 2 have achievements?

I mean, are achievements even optional in this day and age? Crashlands 2 will have a variety of achievements, so achievement-hunters will have plenty of flashy badges to unlock.

How long is Crashlands 2?

Crashlands 2 is a big game. There's so much game that being able to test it all and estimate how much there even is has been a huge challenge! It's an open-world crafting thing, so just how much gameplay it has will vary quite a bit by player and play style, and whether you try to do absolutely everything or just focus on the main story.

Based on our beta test our best guess is that it'll take most players 50+ hours to complete everything in the game. The fastest we've seen someone complete the game was 36 hours, though they didn't 100% it! The longest we've seen someone take was 90 hours.

Does Crashlands 2 run at 60 FPS?

On PC the game will run however fast your monitor and specs can support! On mobile we've capped the frame rate at 60 FPS to help with battery life and heat. But Crashlands 2 also adapts to your hardware, so it'll still play great at lower frame rates when it needs to.

Does Crashlands 2 support 4K?

While Crashlands 2 does not have 4K textures, its visual style and design will look great at any resolution!

Where are my save files?

On Windows, your save files are located at C:\Users\[USERNAME HERE]\AppData\Local\Crashlands2. For mobile and console platforms things get a bit more complicated... you'll probably need to do some Googling.

How did we make Crashlands 2?

We have a very small core dev team, including two artists, one narrative designer, one game programmer, and a small support team handling everything else.

We use the GameMaker engine, Clip Studio Paint, and Spine, plus a ton of custom tools and services (many of which are publicly available on our GitHub).
