How does Levelhead compare to other games in the genre?
The overarching goal of Levelhead is to acquire and deliver a package in every single level. This means the speed and style of levels is quite different from traditional platformers. It also means that you'll do quite a bit of throwing and carrying of all sorts of items - bombs, keys, other players, and the package itself.
The platforming pace is typically compared to games like Super Meat Boy or Celeste - it's quite fast and reactive. The power-ups are total game changers that allow for wild level building. And the robust switch system lets you build elaborate contraptions and essentially “program” your levels to change as the player progresses through them. In other words, Levelhead takes the “maker” genre and moves it in a new, deeper direction.
